Fees

Fees

The fees are established directly between the lawyer and the client, both concerning their amount and the proceedings of payment, and they are stipulated in the contract of juridical assistance at the date of its closing, before the assistance and/or the representation of the client has started.
The proceeding of establishing the retainers is given by the type of client, natural person or juridical person, thereby:
For natural person the fees will be established according to:
– duration, difficulty or complexity of the case;
– restrains due to time when the lawyer is forced by the circumstances of the case to act for ensuring qualitative legal services;

Dependent on these criteria, the fees can be:
– hourly fees;
– fixed fees;
– contingent fee.
– retainers formed from the first three fees.

For juridical person (NGOs, homeowners association), besides the before mentioned payment methods, there might be also flat-rate fees (periodical) for professional services that have continuance.
The fee for legal advice is not paid separately if it precedes the conclusion of a contract, being included in the fee set for the activity covered by the contract.
